He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Harry Edwin Dickinson and Catharine Hatch Dickinson; and his wife Doris Sue Dunlap Dickinson. He is survived by: his daughter Catharine Dickinson Andrews of Tuscaloosa; his grandchildren, Emily Caples Meriwether (Tom) of Tuscaloosa and Richard Breitling Caples (Anna) of Birmingham; and his great grandchildren, Mary Dunlap Meriwether, Thomas Yeates Meriwether, Jr., Ann Douglas Caples and Harmon Louise Caples.
