Beatrice Chapman Obituary
In loving memory of Beatrice Chapman (Thomasville, Alabama), who departed this world on February 13, 2025 at the age of 97. Beatrice leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Jord and Vinda Louise Gates; her husband Cecil; her daughters, Joy Chapman Welch and Jane Chapman Dyess; and her siblings, Chester Gates, Jeffrey Gates, Marion Gates and Jeanette Bryan.
She is survived by: her daughter Jackie Garrick; and her grandchildren, Julie Hoven, Jamie Cockerham, Jeremy Welch, Jason Garrick, Jeff Garrick and Jenni Dyess. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grove Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gainestown Methodist Church.
