He is survived by: his wife Marie Champion Payne; his stepchildren, Dwayne Moxley, Jeffrey Moxley and Ellen Moxley Smith; and his brothers, James D. Payne and Phillip W. Payne. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.
