He is survived by: his wife Judy Steen; his daughter Melissa Cox (Thomas E.); his granddaughter Mandy L. Goniotakis McElrath (Alex); his great grandchildren, Lexi McElrath and Avery McElrath; his granddaughter Megan Goniotakis Jones (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Emma Jones, Zoey Jones and Ellie Jones; his grandchildren, Stan Steen, James E. Steen and Kristan Steen; his great grandchildren, Abigail McDonald, Constance McDonald and Brentley Murphy; his great great grandchild Leland Matthews; his daughter-in-law Lisa Sanders; his grandson Jeremy Sanders; his great grandchildren, Zack Sanders and Kaegan Sanders; his grandchild Haley Thrash; his great grandchild Hudson Thrash; his granddaughter Misty Hill; his great grandchildren, Baylor Hill and Hattie Hill; his grandchild Ashley Giddens; his great grandchildren, Aspyn Giddens and Oakley Giddens; his sisters, Anne Martin, Merle Browning and Sandra Carpenter; and his sisters-in-law, Brenda Haigler (Carl) and Janice Reams (Robert Jr.). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Radney-Smith Funeral Home (320 N Elm Ave, Sylacauga, AL 35150). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
