He is survived by: his wife Mindy Colvard Yates; his sons, William Frank Yates (Terri Chappell) and Thomas Anderson (Megan Pollard); his grandchildren, Madeleine Chappell Yates, Gracie Katherine Yates, Mason Anderson Yates, Elizabeth Reese Yates and Thomas Beau Yates; his siblings, Ellen Yates Little (Jerrell) and David Pinnell Yates (Ashley); and his sister-in-law Beth Colvard Morrison. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
