He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Virginia Prewitt; his son Nathan Coomer; his sister Penny Whittington; and his grandparents, Paul, Nettie Pruitt, Guy and Leaona Coomer.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Coomer of Vernon, AL; his daughters, Kim Gordon (Tim) of Vernon, AL, Crystal Aaron (Joe Richardson) of Nettleton, MS and Heather McCool of Vernon, AL; his grandchildren, Brittany McCool, Cynthia King, Thomas Gordon, Taylor Berryhill, Adam Aaron, Tommy McCool and Hannah McCool; his great grandchildren, Kayden Bradford, Kinsley Johnson, Ryleigh Aaron, Gracelynn and Madelynn King; his father Glenn Coomer (Zena); and his siblings, David Coomer (Susan), Richard Shotts (Rhonda), Randy Shotts (Angie) and Sarah Adair (Tim). He is also survived by eight nieces; and six nephews.
