She was predeceased by: her parents, Colonel Nute Kirby and Mccellar Lorene Clemons Kirby; her daughter Gina Kay Cowart; and her siblings, James Kirby, Buddy Kirby, Doyle Wayne Kirby and Rachel Bell.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas S. "Sam" Cowart; her children, Michael T. Cowart (Youlanda), David N. Cowart (Lora) and Candy Cowart Roden (Jon); and her siblings, Charles Kirby (Carlynn), Harvey Kirby (Melody), Bob Kirby (Sharron) and Shirley Kirby. She is also survived by Nine Grandchildren.
