He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Milton Porter and Clara Odell Pitts; his wife Angela Tillman Porter; his sister Janie Mae Sherrill; and his granddaughter Erica McGaha.
He is survived by: his brother Marty Porter; his children, Chris Porter (Jennifer), Christy Gaddes (Chad), Matthew Porter (Zak), Ben Gentle (Maria) and Aubree Potter (Bradley); his grandchildren, Christian Porter, Donnie Porter, Hannah Porter, Spencer Gaddes, Jacob Gaddes, Devon Griggs, Hunter Potter, Bailey Potter, Luke Potter, Chenoa Gentle, Riley Gentle, William Gentle, Jacob Walls, Logan Walls, Evan Walls and Hannah Walls; and his great grandchild Teddy Porter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
