He was predeceased by: his children, Tracy Stephens and Wendell Taylor; his parents, Alton Stephens and Roma Stephens; and his siblings, Leotis Stephens, Teddy Stephens, Jean Stephens, Joan Robinson and Patricia Arnold.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Sanders, Flo Thompson (James Ray), Janie Tribble (Michael) and Jennifer Stephens; his sister Shelia Hyatt (Steve); and his grandchildren, Rachel Wordlaw, Karen Wynn, Erin Wynn, Delisa Edgar, Zachary Wade, Heather Warner, Latosha Henderson, Taylor Tribble, Jordan Martin, Jaxsen Martin, Heather Taylor and Wendell Taylor. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
