She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Newton; her parents, Hobson Tucker and Lucille Tucker; her husband Pete Hammond; and her brother Gerald Tucker.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Newton, Kecia Newton Beam (Mike) and Carolyn Huffman (Ed); her brother Steve Tucker (Debbie); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeff, Kristy, Jeremy, Brian and Cory; and her great grandchildren, Brooks, Mary Makensie and Kimberly Horton (Matt).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
