He was predeceased by: his parents, Auburn and Nettie; his siblings, Gloria, Leslie and Gene; his son Leslie Dale; and his mother-in-law Olgalene Hawkins.

He is survived by: his daughters, Deena Williams, Leesa Lyles (Thomas) and Julie Todd (Louis); his sister Rita Lynn Little; his grandchildren, Steven, Savanna of Hanna, L. B. and Andy; his great grandchildren, Daniel, Benjamin, Samantha, Amelia and Nolan; his sister-in-law Dale Hill (Charlie); his nephew Marionette Bishop; and his wife Melba. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces.
