He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Hasting and Sidd Moody Hasting; and his siblings, Billie Ray Mullin, Linda Faye Stevens, Jimmy and Eugene Hasting.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Maxwell Hasting; his sons, James "Bucky" Hasting Jr. (Sharon) and Justin Hasting (Sandra); his grandchildren, Brandon Hasting and Jami Gentry (Ross); his great grandchild Addalynn Gentry; and his siblings, Sarah Black (Ervin) and Charles Hastings. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
