He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Bowman and Jerusha Gross Bowman; and his wife Betty Joyce House Bowman. He is survived by: his children, James Bowman III (Shirley) and Jane Bowman Benefield (Jon-Parker); and his sisters, Frances Bowman Weaver and Bettye Bowman. He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren 2 Great-Grandchildren.
