He was predeceased by: his father Dwight "Spot" Smith; and his grandparents, Autrell, Pearl Tripp, Roy A Reeves and Ernestine Hendricks Stallings.
He is survived by: his wife Sonya Wade Smith; his mother Marie Tripp Smith; his siblings, Kristi Wells (John) and James Smith (Tina); and his stepchildren, Shawna Wade, Shawnda Howard and Ryan Lowe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
