He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Leighann Fowler; and his daughter-in-law Deborah Jennings. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Jennings; his children, Freddie Vinson (Jeffrey), Angie Ward (Thomas), Melody Walker (Terry) and Tim Jennings; and his sister Nancy Wideman (Dudley). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
