She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Paul Waits; her daughter Brenda Brown; and her parents, Young Benjamin and Cora Harper. She is survived by: her children, Larry Waits (Kathy) of Union City, GA and Linda Martin (Nathan) of Palmetto, GA; and her sister Gladys Kendall of Gadsden. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
