He was predeceased by: his daughter Sherry Kirk; and his parents, Imogene Amberson and Franklin Kirk. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Kirk; his daughters, Brandi Neyman (Seth) and Shannon Lovett (Tommy); his grandchildren, Danielle Lovett, Kayley Lovett, Tucker Neyman, Nolan Neyman, Brian Lovett, Britney Martin (Shawn), Brett Holbrooks (Tricia), Cody Holbrooks, Andrew Maddox (Jamie) and Adam Maddox (Raven); his great grandchildren, Emily Martin, Lawson Maddox and Sarah Kate Holbrooks; and his siblings, Phyllis Brown, Jo Lane Kirk, Benny Kirk and Don Rutherford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
