He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kyle Elliott and Frances Elizabeth Williams Elliott; and his siblings, Gerald F. Elliott, David G. Elliott and Anne Marie Bailey.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Allen Bailey; his nephews, D. J. Kyle Elliott, Gerald F. Elliott Jr. and Mark Bailey; and also Rosemary Elliott (David).
