She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Bean and Ruth Bean; her husband Bob Ray; her brother Kenneth Bean; and her granddaughter Katelyn Rhea Kemp.

She is survived by: her siblings, Sandra Frame, Deborah Miller (Gerry) and Phillip Bean; and her daughters, Bobbie Bush, Jackie Spann (John), Joy Kemp (Steve) and Terri Knight (Shey). She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Carol Ray's memory to St. Jude's Hospital, Alabama Baptist Children's Homes, or a charity close to your heart.
