With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laurie Simpson of Ozark, Alabama, born in Valley, Alabama, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Simpson; her parents, Tom Gauntt and Faye Gauntt; and her brother Steve Gauntt. She is survived by: her daughter Mandy Johnson (Bubba); her sister Martha Gauntt; her sister-in-law Sally Scott; and her grandchildren, Britt Johnson (Kodie), Joe Johnson, Hunter Johnson (Cheryl) and Jena Creed (Robbie). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel (3700 20th Ave, Valley, AL 36854). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
