She was predeceased by: her parents, Augusta Andrews Burrus and Felix Jacob Burrus; and her brother Felix J. Burrus, Jr.. She is survived by: her sister A. Embry Burrus (Reita); her aunts, Isabel Triplitt and Katharine Triplitt; her nephews, Max Burrus of Atlanta and Jake Burrus of Charlotte; her caregivers, Brenda Tolliver and Gail Mullins; and also Julie Adams Burrus of Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those interested make a donation to. Special Olympics, Exceptional Foundation of East Alabama, or to Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama.
