We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2025, at the age of 99, Evangeline S Pouncey (Opelika, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Sprague and Ebba Sprague; her stepmother Marie Sprague; her siblings, June Sprague and Albert "Tip" Sprague; her brother-in-law Faustin Neff Weber; and her son-in-law John Dennis.
She is survived by: her children, Samuel S Coursen, Jr. (Denise), Barbara Steele and Elizabeth Pouncey; her grandchildren, Peyton Arnaud (Sebastien), Seth Steele, John Coursen (Perrine), Matthew Coursen (Meredith), Laura Coursen (Alex Cyphus) and Jeffrey Coursen (Bailey); and her sisters, Weber and Caroline Myers (Jay). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Community Market of the Food Bank of East Alabama or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
