It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Ruth Vice Hays (Oneonta, Alabama), who passed away on December 30, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester T. Vice and Mary Spradlin Vice; her husband Luther Hays; her brother Billy Vice; and her grandson Adam Hays.

She is survived by: her children, Dr. Ann Hays Siler, Bob Bain of Boaz, Tom Hays, Dr. Sarah Hays of Birmingham, Tim, Cheryl Hays of Guntersville and Mark Morgan. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews.
