He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Ervin and Gertrude Lera Kent Gilliland; and his brother Randall Ervin Gilliland. He is survived by: his children, Janet Powell (Dudley), Phillip Wade Gilliland (Lee Ann), Debra Lynn Gilliland, Doris Swann (Perry) and Gregory Dean Gilliland; his grandchildren, Crystal Clowdus, Tyler Gilliland, Haley Buckelew, Chase Buckelew and Bridgette Carter; and his siblings, Vandal Gilliland, Lee Littenberg, Lera Jane Chacon and Teresa Dawkins. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121).
