He is survived by: his children, Kevin Herren (Marian) and Kathy Garrett; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Ryan, Noah, Kaelyn, Stella Mae, Ruth Ellen and Hurston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hanceville Methodist Church.
