She was predeceased by: her husband Floyd Carroll Nelms; her son Larry Nelms; her parents, Marvin Martin and Jeppie Dunkin Martin; and her siblings, Marie Penn, Cecil Martin, Monteze Hix and Gwen Holcomb.
She is survived by: her sons, Jimmy (Frances), Bryan (Kathy) and Randy Nelms (Sharon); her daughter-in-law Julia Nelms; and her grandchildren, Emily Chastain (Ted), Josh Nelms (Fredia), Laurie Langlois (Daniel), Sam Nelms (Sierra), Bryanna Wood (Brandon), Ben Nelms (Ashley), Christen Nelms, Joe McCulley (Jordan) and Robert McCulley (Ashley).
