He is survived by: his wife Joan Johnson; his children, Scott (Brenda), Jeff (Terra) and Franke (Debbie); his grandchildren, Mandy Hancock, Melissa Hancock, Laura Hayes (Seth), Taylor Hancock (Stephanie), Jessie Hancock, Kathryn Marquis (Bryant), Jonathan Hancock (Emma), Shelby Hancock and Jake Hancock (Kayla); his great grandchildren, Ava Hancock, Heston, Elizabeth, Olivia, Henry Hayes, Emma and Abigail Marquis; and his sister Pat Honeycutt (Ricky). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). The lying in state was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
