He was predeceased by: his wife Amber Smith Nunnelley; his parents, Fred G. Nunnelley and Gertrude Nunnelley; and his siblings, Fred G. Nunnelley Jr (Bug), Sibyl Birchfield and Doris Hughes (Dude).

He is survived by: his children, Amelia Stockton (Dennis), Kirk Nunnelley (Nancy) and Jonathon Nunnelley; and his grandchildren, Heidi Romines, Hannah Stabler, Danielle Ackley, Jessica Thompson and Josh Stockton. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
