He was predeceased by: his parents, Fay Smith and George Franklin Johnsey; and his grandparents, Lessie Johnsey, Robert Johnsey, Lorene Lemonds and Woodrow Lemonds.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Johnsey; his children, Jessica Pannullo (Tom) and Blackie L Johnsey; his siblings, Anita Webb (Kevin), George Johnsey Jr. (Donnie Johnsey), Ronnie Johnsey and Ricky Smith Sr. (Billy Ray Smith); and his grandchildren, Nick Pannullo, Kaitlyn Pannullo and Bella M. Johnsey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
