It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Edith Sloan of New Hope, Alabama, who passed away on August 28, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lee Barfield and Ruby Vienna Barfield; and her daughter Joy Sloan Trousdale. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Bruce Sloan, David Johnson Sloan, Mary Linda Sloan and Matthew Lee Sloan.
