Suzane McIlwain Cox Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 20, 2023, at the age of 71, Suzane McIlwain Cox of Mount Olive, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McIlwain and Betty Wilds Ward; her stepfather Olin Ward; and her brothers, Bo McIlwain and Terry Owens.

She is survived by: her husband Danny Cox; her children, Sherí Barker (Derrick), Clint Spears (Kari), Christa Dransfield (Dave), Andrew Myrick (Kristen), Allison Fulton (Robert), Adam Cox (Jana) and Alan Cox (Tony Russo); her grandchildren, Taylor Barker (Alyssa), Ty Barker, Hutton Spears, Kardyn Spears, Jaycee Dill, Tanner Dill, Connor Dransfield, Beth Dransfield, Rosie Dransfiled, Peyton Myrick, Easton Myrick, Avery Myrick, Hannah Rice (Kory), Jackson Keith (Ashlyn), Kayleigh Fulton, Sadie Fulton, Nathan Cox and Addison Cox; her great grandchildren, Ellie and Marlee Kate; her siblings, Vicki List (John), Scott McIlwain, Miranda Schrubbe (Ben) and Jeff McIlwain (Courtney); and her sisters-in-law, Carolyn McIlwain and Denise Owens. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Suzane always had a desire to help others in need, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Benevolence Fund at Gardendale First Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Suzane Cox.
