She was predeceased by: her husband Robert David Carr; her parents, James Henry Allen and Evelyn Forbus Allen; and her parents-in-law, Robert A. Carr and Peggy J. Carr.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer C. Carson (Shane) and Sherry C. Barnes (Ben); and her grandchildren, Catherine V. Barnes, McKinley A. Carson, Benjamin G. Barnes and Cade A. Carson.

The family asks for donations to be made to First United Methodist Church- Children Ministries at 2416 West Cloverdale Park, Montgomery, AL 36106.
