He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Suggs; his parents, William Suggs Sr. and Ina Suggs; his children, Vickie Williams and Eugene Wayne Suggs; and his sister Bess Stienman (Jimmy Devoe).
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Porter and William G. Suggs III. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
