He was predeceased by: his wife Ava; his parents, Roy Shackelford and Patricia Shackelford; his brother Ted Shackelford; and his niece Stephanie Kelly.
He is survived by: his children, Ryan Shackelford (Tonya) of Tampa, FL and Abigail Shackelford (Cam) of Hoover, AL; his grandchildren, Allysa, Page, Lillian, Eli and Deklan; and his sisters, Debby Lawrence (Jay) and Sonya Porter.
