She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thurman and Willie Jane Pennington; and her siblings, Junior Ray Pennington and Mae Chandler. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Johnson of Millport, AL, Glenda Oakes (Ronnie) of Millport, AL, Ricky Newell of Millport, AL, Steve Newell of Columbus, MS and Mike Newell of Millport, AL; and her niece Alice Canny. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that everyone please wear a mask during the visitation and service.
