He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Blanton and Opal Bolen Blanton; his wife Janie Sue Blanton; his siblings, Jerry, Bobby Joe Blanton and Cathy Bell; and his nephew Shane Blanton.
He is survived by: his siblings, Wayne Blanton (Shirley) of Columbus, MS. and Jo Ann Sullivan (Randy England) of Clarksville, TN.; his sister-in-law Marie Blanton of Millport, AL.; and his nieces and nephews, Donna Vickery (Mahlon), Tina Slane (Mark), Tonya Davis (Berry), Jaime Mobley (John), Jeff Sullivan (Priscilla) and Matthew Bell. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
