He is survived by: his sons, Gary Wharton and Ronnie Wharton (Cathy) of Vernon, AL.; his siblings, Louise Vail, Kathryn Oglesby, Jean Bolling, Patricia Hollis, Charles Wharton, Frank Wharton, Buren Wharton and Doug Wharton; and his grandchildren, Kala Fowler and Alexis Wharton.
