He was predeceased by: his brothers, Bob Shaw and Bruce Shaw (Annie Ruth); his stepmother Doris Shaw; and his parents, W. E. Shaw and Nannie May McDaniel Shaw.
He is survived by: his wife Faye McGarity Shaw; his children, Ricky Shaw, Danny Shaw (Tammy), Sheila Shaw, Charles Shaw (T. K.), Tommy Shaw, Mike Shaw (Shawn) and Norma Rhudy (Terry); his siblings, Faye Hardin (Clark) and Paul Shaw (Mary); his half-sister Debbie Baker (Danny); and his stepsiblings, Larry Duncan (Linda) and Elaine. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
