She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Grover and Linnia Fields Atkins of Virginia; her husband Robert C. Pennington; her siblings, James Floyd Atkins, Sr., William Smith Atkins, James Hanford "Hamp" Fields, William Ellis "Billy" Atkins, Bobby Ray Atkins, Doyle Mason "PeeWee" Atkins and Marguerite Atkins Brown; and her grandson Jeb Davis "JD" Richards.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Fields (Tim) of Millport, Alabama, Kristy Humber of Millport, Alabama and Tonya Richards (Karey) of Millport, Alabama; her grandchildren, Whitney Collins (Chuck), Tyler Fields, Hannah Bradley (Tristan), Mary Hancock (Justin) and Karey Beth Richards; her great grandchildren, Stella Bradley, Harper, Hayes Collins and Emmie Hancock; and her brother Sam Atkins (Lavae). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
