She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Carroll and Ollie Bell Ammons Carroll; her son Matthew Blake Ivey; her grandson Jordin Carroll; and her siblings, Rebecca Johns and David Carroll.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Meeks; her sons, Wayne Carroll and Christopher Carroll; her siblings, Cindy Carroll, Alvy Carroll (Dawn), Mark Carroll (Lacrisha), Robert Carroll (Meshell) and Sherman Carroll (Melissa); and her grandchildren, Jonathan Carroll, Colten Birchler and Marley Lynn Carroll. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
