She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Sheldon Smith; her parents, Curtis Anthony Gaspard and Dorothy Tullos Lowery; and her sons, Charles Peter Smith and Norman Thomas Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Peterson (M. C. "Pete") and Dean Justin Smith; and her grandchildren, Justin Pelton, Abigail, Blake, Cortland Peterson and Justine Smith.
