He was predeceased by: his wife Thelma Faye Odom; his parents, Mancel Marcelles Odom and Maude Marie Day Odom; and his siblings, Mancel Marie Odom, Onetia Mae Odom, Miriam Ovedia Odom, VernaMae Annette Odom, Opal Oweda Odom, Violet Wayrah Odom, Sheila Jean Odom, Mancel Marceleos Odom, Jr., Charles Howard Odom and Arthur Winford Odom.

He is survived by: his children, Wayrah Suzanne Smith of Greenville, AL and Sigmund L. Odom, Jr. of Georgiana, AL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
