He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Lee Sr. and Kathryn Wilson King; his brothers, James "Pete" King Jr. (Mary) and John Warren King; and his brother-in-law Davis Doggett.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Knighten King; his children, Sonya Knox (Joey), Joey King (Shane Dyess), Paula Gardner (Ronnie) and Micheal King; his grandchildren, Brandy May (John), Heather Acreman (Brandon), Joseph Gardner (Jocelyn), Katie St (Dalton), Brittany Smith (Sean), Dow Gardner (Michaela) and Jolee Knox (Jon Stubbs); his great grandchildren, Amari, Sam, Seth, Henry, Lynley, Andrew and Colin; his sister Helen Doggett; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Nell King. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
