She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Judge Irby Reddoch and Jimmie Claire Folmar Reddoch; her spouse Thomas Whitfield Athey, Jr.; her son John Reddoch Athey; her granddaughter Sally Katherine Shepard; her children, Thomas Whitfield Athey III (Jean) of Brookeville, MD, Anne Athey Payne (Gillis) of Ramer and Charles William Athey (Cynthia) of Jacksonville, FL.; her grandchildren, William Scott Shepard, Jennifer Blair Athey, Susan Carleton Athey, Bryan Whitfield Athey, John Crispin Athey, Stephanie Bingham Jarvis and William Whitfield Athey; and also Lucile Pouncey. She was also cherished by her siblings, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
