He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Tidwell and Dovie Tidwell. He is survived by: his wife Helen Tidwell; his son Roy Tidwell; his grandchildren, Joshua Tidwell, Charlie Tidwell, Katie Boston and Andrew Tidwell; and his great grandchild Rayden Boston.
