He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Hinds Cole and Kathryn Elaine Sailors Cole; and his grandson Ethan Stuart Chalpan. He is survived by: his wife Diana Davis Cole; his daughters, April Turner (Calvin), Danielle Kelley (Keith), Christina Chalpan (Sean) and Georgia; his sister Barbara Deerman; his grandchildren, Abigail Hope Templeton, Damien Cole Templeton, Makayla Lynn Templeton, Steven Joseph Turner, Dylan James Turner, Kathryn Elaine Kelley, Layla Raine Kelley, Gabriel Isaac Cason, Sean Michael Chalpan, Elijah Matthew Chalpan, Keith Jameson Chalpan and Morgan Elizabeth Gertrude Garmon; and his nieces, Michele Moon Phares and Delina Christine Moon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Tommy's memory to the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
