It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Hood (Lanett, Alabama), who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hood and Mary Burdette Hood; her siblings, Sabra (Ray Teague), Earl (Betty Hood), Phyllis (Charles George) and Peggy Tupper; her niece Shirley Hood Davis; and her great-nephews, Christopher Kelley and Austin Stevenson.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Debbie Kelley, Peggy Farr, Sherry Stilwell, Dewey Hood, Marla Stevenson, Donna McKnight, Sheryl Rubey, Marcia Bearden and Johnny George.
