She is survived by: her husband William David Ferrell; her daughter Holly McNeill (Paul); her grandson Carson Alexander Marasco; her brother Alan Franks, Sr.; and her nieces and nephews, Marcia Moncus (Jonathan), Alan Franks, Jr. (Danielle), Mack Waites (Connie), Stacey Rogers and Matthew Rushing (Holly). She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Dorie's memory to Chattahoochee Hospice.
