We are sad to announce that on March 30, 2023, at the age of 92, Donal Nolan Mathena Sr. (Lanett, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mamie Eleanor Castelli; his parents, Etta Mae and Sylvia Cornealius; his siblings, Ray Augusta, Jack Caleb, Mickey Porter and Irene Rhodes (Mamie Eleanor); and his grandson Zachary Paul.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Stephen (Debra), Donal Jr. Mathena (Kathleen) and Sharon Bishop (Rodney); his grandchildren, Diane, Kerry, Jeanette, Donal III, Richard Jr., David, Jason, Michael, Christopher and Lauren; and his great grandchildren, Calvin, Chelsa, Ashlin, Nolan, Alex, Anna, Stephen, Tyler, Drew, Noah, Connor, Samantha, Reagan, Xander, Lainey and Maddox.
In lieu of flowers, Maj. Mathena's family requests donations be made to your local Hospice.
