She was predeceased by: her father Henry Alton; her husband George A. Smith; her son George Michael Smith; her great grandchild Bradyn Michael Nelson; and her siblings, Clyde Wood and Doris Howard.

She is survived by: her daughter Anita Cofield (Earl); her sisters, Kay Metcalfe (Doug) and Mary Lou Owens (Jerry); her grandchildren, David Cofield (Courtney) and Kimberly Cofield; her great grandchildren, Starr Binnix (Lavonne), Alyssa Nelson and Bryce Nelson; and her great great grandchild Ava Binnix.
